If you have read your Sunday Paper, with the exception of The News of the World which seemed to discuss Jordons impending divorce on pages 1 -12, then you will have spotted, that their is a growing beleif that interest rates are going to rise soon and you should all be ringing me tomorrow to organise one.
I remain unconvinced about the timing, but I am becoming of the opinion that rates may rise a little quicker and higher then we expected 6 months ago. The next set of inflation figures will reveal a great deal about how and when rates move.
I would say that if you are a cautious person then getting yourself a fixed rate mortgage would be prudent.
